About the Publisher

The Royal Danish Academy has been publishing scientific works since 1745 – and continues to do so to this day. The Academy’s publishing activities are managed by the editor, with support from the publication committee and the Secretariat.
The Academy’s publications are released in four regular series under the title Scientia Danica. The series includes both monographs and symposium reports. All manuscripts published in *Scientia Danica* undergo anonymous peer review before publication.
In addition to the series, the Academy also publishes books under the Royal Danish Academy Current Affairs Series. In some cases, special publications are released outside of the series.
The Royal Danish Academy’s publications are sold by Gads Forlag. Earlier publications (where more than a year has passed since release) can be accessed through the Academy’s publication platform, which allows for reading and free downloading of the works.
